PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF FUNCTION:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement and supplier management processes for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services within specific product category groups. In this role, the successful candidate will direct the data collection and analysis on current spend profile; lead the identification, selection, development and management of current and potential suppliers; manage the RFQ/RFP process to deliver optimal total cost, risk profile and overall performance; and deliver material costs savings within categories managed. The individual will support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems that support the company’s acquisition of goods and services.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Strategy: Develop and communicate a product category procurement plan; establish, communicate and implement short- and long- term plans to ensure effective supply chain performance and risk mitigation within managed categories. Build market intelligence on key suppliers and solutions to support business.
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, select and develop suppliers to support the business’ goods and services purchasing needs. Create and maintain strong supplier relationships. Lead thorough and objective contract negotiations. Act as the primary point of contact for contract compliance, price negotiation and supplier performance reviews.
Cost Management: Develop and implement regular RFQ/RFP processes for new and existing product groups to attain lowest cost and optimal quality/service performance. Conduct business review meetings to assess risks, review future strategies and identify future cost down opportunities.
Analytics: Collect, analyze and monitor overall cost/spend performance within managed categories. Identify cost reduction opportunities to support business’ financial goals. Estimate and establish cost parameters for forecasting and budgetary uses.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field
5-10 years of related experience
Results-oriented, metrics-driven individual with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance
Experience with domestic and international sourcing and procurement
Willingness to travel up to 25%
