Bell Recovers from Spin to Earn Podium at Lime Rock on StopTech Brakes

BELL RECOVERS FROM SPIN OUT AT LIME ROCK TO DELIVER PODIUM FINISH FOR TURNER ON STOPTECH BRAKES

Los Angeles (May 26, 2009) - The Turner Motorsport driving team of Matt Bell and Bill Auberlen took their StopTech-equipped BMW for a spin, literally, and still managed a third place finish at the 2009 Lime Rock Park Road Racing Classic. The race, which also saw the Turner Motorsport of team of Chris Gleason and Joey Hand capture the checkered flag, was Round 5 of the Grand-Am KONI Challenge.

Turner Motorsport on the way to two podium spots at Lime Rock.  Bell managed a podium spot on his StopTech brakes despite an early lap spin out.Teammate Matt Bell fell just .056 seconds short of continuing a record pole-position streak but started the #96 StopTech Brakes BMW M3 in the front row of the race. A spin, resulting from contact with another car, posed a setback for Bell. Driving hard and braking deep into the turns, he quickly regained lost positions, bringing his car back to the lead pack before handing the car over to co-driver Bill Auberlen. Auberlen fought his way back from the pit-stop up to third place, giving the team not one but two podium finishes for the day.

The Lime Rock success has been the latest May achievement in a stellar month for StopTech-equipped cars with victories and podium stops at Laguna Seca, Mosport, New Jersey and even  the grueling One Lap of America.
