NITTO/TIRE BULLET PERFORMANCE SETS CLASS RECORD ON STOPTECH BRAKES AT THE 25 HOURS OF THUNDERHILL
WILLOWS, Calif. (January 2010) - Nitto Tire/Bullet Performance took first place on StopTech brakes in the hotly-contested E0 class at the longest closed course road race in North America, The 25 Hours of Thunderhill, held at Thunderhill Raceway in Northern California just before year's end. The race will air on Versus on March 22, 2010 at 5pm eastern. Even though Team StopTech is on an off-season racing break, StopTech brakes continue to help race teams brake late to finish first.
The 25 Hours of Thunderhill requires teams to drive throughout the night for 25 hours straight. The team with the most laps in each class is declared the winner, making performance and reliability of the vehicle components a key factor for success. Nearly 70 teams competed across all classes. The E0 class is the fastest class that requires drivers to use street-legal tires.
Nitto Tire/Bullet Performance fielded a StopTech-equipped 1999 BMW M3 and completed 682 laps to take first place in the class, finish 5th overall, and set a class record for the most laps completed.
